CALDO DE PIEDRA

Chinanteco cuisine includes the famous Caldo de Piedra, literally 'stone soup' prepared on the banks of the river.

Rocks are collected from the Rio Grande (mnjunt).

There were many fish and shrimp in the river before the construction of the Cerro del Oro dam.
